We already know the endless benefits of Vitamin C, but what is the Adrenal gland you may ask? The Adrenal gland is part of your endocrine system which uses hormones to manage important body functions. All hormones produced by the Adrenal gland are vital for proper glucose metabolism and immune function, among many other things! (Fun fact! It's about the size of the top half of your thumb)
There are two parts to the adrenal gland: the outer part of the gland is called the Cortex, it produces essential hormones, such as;
Cortisol - which helps regulate metabolism and helps your body respond to stress and
Aldosterone - which helps control blood pressure
The inner part of the gland is called the Adrenal Medulla, it produces hormones such as;
Epinephrine and Norepinephrine - hormones involved in the fight-or-flight response
Adrenal Cortex + C supports healthy adrenal function by promoting balance within the body, especially during times of stress.
